Since I am in Newcastle during half-term I was unable to film for my music video. Rather than not doing anything I asked Kat, Sam and Meg (dance people) to come round to my house to brainstorm some ideas and routines so I could plan the dance sections out.
I asked my friend Kat to choreograph my dance routine as I am not a dancer myself. She is a very experienced dancer and is always thinking creatively therefore I knew she would be perfect to ask.
I asked my friend Sam to feature in the dance since when I have been to dance clubs with her I saw she had a talent for dancing and although she did not take dance at a level she was very good at it and still enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, Meg (the main character/protagonist) could not attend as she had a work experience placement. This did not affect things too much as she would not be in the majority of the dance routine anyway.

I still have to think about costume, make up, props and the location for the dance.

Rehearsal Video:
- We encountered a few problems when trying to film the dance as in my bedroom there was limited space to fully express the movement.
- We came across problems such as one chorus section of the song was 15 seconds yet another was 30 seconds. As I wanted the dance to be a continuous scene that contrasted with the different scenes and settings from the verses it was hard to try to keep the dance similar but not boring.
- We had to change original ideas to fit in with the timing of the song and the beat, however we also had to take some ideas out as they were too long for the fast paced song.
- I understand that this is only the beginning of the process and many more ideas may change.
- Also the protagonist Meg was very busy during the summer holidays on a work experience placement so could not attend. However we did use a rather hilarious prop to fill her place so my dancers could still pretend she was there for spacing reasons.
- It was a bit more difficult without Meg there as we had to make decisions without her that she may have been against and we could not have her input at this time.
I still have to think about costume, make up, props and the location for the dance.
